Colby College (Waterville, ME) is one of the top liberal arts colleges in the USA.
- Studies focused on applied economics, marketing and corporate finance.

- Played football and was named to the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) All-Academic Team from 2004 - 2006 and was named to the All Conference team in 2005.
Experience
A human powered search engine and knowledge exchange community
- Manage Mahalo's How To Community, one of the three main sections of the site (along with Answers and Topic Pages).
- Develop and execute strategies to increase Mahalo's freelance How To writer community.
- Interact with community members on a day-to-day basis to improve their experience on the site.
- Use SEO including the close monitoring of web trends to increase AdSense revenue and traffic to Mahalo's content.
Data security company providing solutions to large enterprise and federal clients.
- Was one of the first employees at this startup and “wore many hats” as a result.
- Developed and executed marketing strategy which included researching market needs, determining competitive weaknesses and developing materials that leveraged products’ features and benefits. Key activities included trade show participation, list rental lead generation through white paper and video podcast promotions and print advertising. Managed leads and sales cycle with Sales Team using Salesforce.com.
- Designed and created all marketing collateral including print ads (which appeared in major trade magazines), trade show banners, video tutorials, product brochures and HTML emails.
- Managed website, RSS feeds and social media accounts. I was responsible for all website updates and revisions as well as tracking site and campaign analytics and managing SEO efforts.
- Managed outside PR firm and was successful gaining coverage in major trade publications and applying for and winning industry awards. I also broadened brand awareness by actively commenting on industry blogs.

Conducted week-long tours of Paris, France in the context of Ernest Hemingway.
- Cofounded and incorporated in New Hampshire. One partner was a Hemingway scholar and guide for tours.
- Involved in all aspects of the startup including creating the business plan, financials and developing partnerships with travel vendors.
