How to Lower Screen Brightness on a Mac

Blackout 3 (Mac OSX) | bravobug.com | Price: $9

Apple display brightness is controlled through the "Displays" option in System Preferences. While the brightness range offered is satisfactory for most conditions, there are circumstances where more control is necessary. One such circumstance is at night when a very low lit display is preferable. This is precisely what Blackout 3 offers.

This is a must have app if you leave your computer on at night by your bed or if you work in very low light conditions. The app allows you to lower the screen's brightness below its natural capabilities.
